JIJ Launches JijZept Solver v4 Beta, a Major Update to Its Mathematical Optimization Solver

JIJ Inc. (“JIJ”) announced that JijZept Solver v4 beta became available to existing JijZept users and early-access partners on August 5, 2026.

JijZept Solver v4 beta is a major update that introduces a redesigned internal solver architecture. Building on the previous v3 release, the new version is designed to improve solver performance and stability for large-scale, complex optimization problems, while strengthening its search capabilities to make feasible solutions easier to find.

For real-world problems involving large numbers of constraints—such as production planning, delivery planning, and scheduling—the solver is designed to increase the likelihood of finding high-quality solutions that satisfy all constraints within a limited computation time.

This update is part of JIJ’s broader effort to advance mathematical optimization beyond research and development and deliver it as a software product that supports complex, real-world decision-making. Key Updates in JijZept Solver v4 Beta

1. Enhanced Search Capabilities for Finding Feasible Solutions

The search engine has been completely redesigned around a parallel architecture in which multiple search strategies with different characteristics run concurrently and share solutions with one another.

This substantially strengthens the solver’s ability to reach a feasible solution in highly constrained real-world problems, addressing situations in which no feasible solution—that is, no solution satisfying all constraints—can be found within the specified time limit.

2. Search Capabilities Tailored to Specific Problem Structures

JijZept Solver v4 beta introduces new search capabilities tailored to structures frequently found in production planning, delivery planning, and scheduling problems.

For these types of problem structures, the new capabilities enable the solver to identify high-quality solutions faster than other commercial solvers. JIJ plans to continue expanding the range of specialized search methods through future updates.
