Hiroshi Nakata, COO of JIJ Inc. and Board Member of Q-STAR, participated in the Quantum Diplomacy in Action Conference held in Geneva, Switzerland, on May 6, 2026.As quantum technologies continue to advance, the conversation is expanding beyond research and industrial applications to include international cooperation, policy, and social implementation. Convened by the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator Foundation (GESDA), the Open Quantum Institute (OQI), and partners, the conference provided a forum for international dialogue on quantum technologies. Topics included national and regional quantum strategies, security, intellectual property, environmental impact, access, and the quantum divide.During the “National Approaches” session, Nakata shared perspectives from Japan’s quantum ecosystem and international collaboration in his capacity as a Board Member of Q-STAR.JIJ is committed to developing quantum and mathematical optimization technologies into practical solutions for society.
