Jij Inc. is delighted to announce that Louis Chen, who recently earned his Ph.D. in Quantum Information Processing from Imperial College London, has joined our team as a Quantum Computing Researcher.Louis brings exceptional expertise from the forefront of quantum computing research, with a strong focus on open quantum systems, quantum control, and quantum algorithms. With over 30 peer-reviewed publications and specialized knowledge in quantum algorithms and protocols, Louis is a recognized authority in the field. His distinguished academic background includes:Imperial–TUM Global Fellow: Supported international collaboration on quantum software and simulation with the Technical University of Munich.Ph.D. and MSc in Quantum Information Processing, Imperial College London: Awarded the John Matthey Prize (2025) for outstanding doctoral research and the AWE Prize (2018) for the best MSc thesis in the Royal School of Mines.Louis is also committed to the wider quantum community, with experience in mentoring, outreach, and leadership in academic–industry collaborations. At Jij, he will apply his expertise to develop hybrid quantum–classical algorithms for large-scale optimisation and machine learning, directly contributing to the enhancement of our platform. With Louis joining the team, Jij further strengthens its research capability and accelerates the delivery of innovative quantum solutions for industry.
